Uber?

The Weeve subscription

Weeve offers 3 types of rentals, depending on your needs:
  • Prepaid Flex: 7 or 14-day subscription, fully prepaid upon vehicle pickup. $500 deposit via pre-authorization on credit card. Renewal possible only in-branch.
  • Subscription: 1 month minimum, weekly payment, $1,000 deposit, automatic renewal until notice of return.
  • Rent-to-Own: une manière flexible de devenir propriétaire de votre véhicule, sans financement; minimum 6 mois.

No. The vehicle can only be driven by the Subscriber identified in the contract, except in exceptional circumstances (valet service or emergency).
Yes, provided you are a member in good standing of a platform that offers insurance for your professional activities or have suitable insurance.
Minimum contract duration:
  • 2 weeks for Plus and Platinum subscriptions
  • 13 weeks (3 months) for Basic
Return notice:
  • 2 weeks for Plus and Platinum
  • 4 weeks for Basic

The cars

Follow these simple steps to check the condition of your tires and ensure your safety on the road.
Step 1 – Use a depth gauge
  • Insert the gauge stem into the grooves between the treads. Press down on the base of the gauge until it is level with the tire tread.
Step 2 – According to the measurement:
  • Between 6/32 and 32/32: tire in good condition.
  • Between 3/32 and 6/32: schedule an appointment for the replacement.
  • Between 0/32 and 3/32: replace the tire immediately - critical wear.
  • Smooth driving: Maintain a constant and moderate speed.
  • Regenerative braking: Use one-pedal driving to recover energy with each deceleration.
  • Heating and air conditioning management: Prioritize heated seats and natural ventilation; customers rarely remove their coats, so keep the temperature at 19 degrees Celsius in winter (and gain 15% more range).
  • Tire pressure: Maintain optimal pressure to reduce rolling resistance.
  • Battery preconditioning: Warm or cool the car while it is plugged in.
  • Regular maintenance: Have the vehicle inspected according to Weeve's recommendations.
  • Enable Eco mode: Reduce energy consumption.
  • Smart charging: Avoid extreme charges (0% or 100%) for extended periods.
  • Electric Circuit (Quebec): charging stations throughout Quebec, payment via the app.

  • Precondition the battery before leaving.
  • Use heated seats and steering wheel instead of the central heating system.
  • Check tire pressure regularly.
  • Keep the battery charged; avoid deep discharges.

Breakdowns and accidents

Yes, depending on the chosen plan (e.g., Platinum), if your vehicle is out of service for more than 3 business days and subject to availability.
Dead 12V Battery:
  • Contact a taxi service offering a jump start (approximately $25, receipt required).
Dead Key Battery:
  • Insert the key into the designated slot (see owner's manual).
  • Put the transmission in Park or Neutral.
  • Press the start button.
  • If necessary, use the key hidden in the remote to unlock the door.
For a slow leak, reinflate the tire and go to:
  • Weeve: 5500 Royalmount Ave., Suite 100, Mount Royal, QC
  • Or to a garage: Canadian Tire, Point S, Pneus Touchette, etc.
  • Keep an official receipt for reimbursement (Option Plus or Platinum).
If the tire blows out, call a tow truck:

  • The maximum reimbursement is $317 + tax per tire.
In the event of an at-fault accident requiring insurance activation, Weeve applies a deductible based on your subscription level:
  • Basic Subscription: $2,500 max
  • Plus and Platinum Subscriptions: $1,500 max

Contract and invoicing

407 ETR and other tolls not included in the contract: These must be paid directly by the renter. Administrative fees may apply in case of non-payment.
A25: A toll transponder is provided free of charge with all Weeve electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Usage fees may apply if the transponder is removed.
Weeve will pay the fine received and add a $50 administrative fee + tax to the total amount. No appeals will be accepted.
Plus and Platinum subscribers can submit reimbursable expenses. Email the complete invoice to your regional office: support@weeve.ca. Our team will review the request and process the reimbursement if applicable.
In the event of a bounced payment (NSF), the vehicle will be deactivated from the Uber platform until payment is received via Interac e-Transfer or credit card. A fee of $50 + tax will be added for each payment incident. If payment is not received for more than 48 hours, the vehicle will be impounded and contractual fees will apply.
  • Montreal: Invoices are sent every Wednesday; payment is due on Thursday for the following week.
  • Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver: Invoices are sent every Thursday; payment is due on Friday.
The first payment is required upon delivery of the vehicle.
Weeve accepts Interac e-Transfers as well as credit and debit cards. These terms apply to all our electric vehicle leasing programs in Canada.
Subscription fees are charged weekly.Payments are processed in advance for the following week.
  • Montreal: Payment is due on Thursday..
  • Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver: Payment is due on Friday.
A security deposit is required at the time of booking.

General Information

The security deposit varies depending on the subscription type, ranging from $500 to $1000. The deposit is 100% refundable if the vehicle is returned in good condition and no fines or charges are issued during the subscription period. Any unpaid amount will be deducted from the deposit.
Check the following:
  • Active status: Your Uber Driver account must not be suspended..
  • App update: Make sure you're using the latest version.
  • Valid documents: Your driver's license, insurance, and payment information must be up to date.
  • Ride preferences: Verify that UberX is enabled.
  • Payment: Ensure all your payments are up to date with Weeve.
If the problem persists, contact Uber Support directly through the app.
To become an Uber driver in Toronto, you must obtain a Private Transportation Company (PTC) license.
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must hold a valid Class G driver's license
  • Must have a clean criminal record and driving record
Required documents:
  • Copy of Ontario driver's license
  • Proof of insurance for paid transportation
  • Vehicle inspection at an approved testing centre
  • Criminal background check
  • Driving history (last 3 years)
